We’re a Catholic family who aims to walk this pilgrimage of life with faith, gratitude, and a bit of adventures – at all times. We love the peace of being at home, but we also find joy in visiting holy places and experiencing how God meets us in every journey — near or far.
Homeward Pilgrims began as a way to share the beauty of our faith and the sacredness of everyday family life. What started as a small blog (then called Caballe Family) has grown into a space for Catholic families and travelers seeking encouragement, prayer, and inspiration for their own journeys of faith.
Whether we’re at our kitchen table eating and talking about God or exploring a Catholic shrine, we’re reminded that every step, every laugh, every prayer, every mile — brings us closer to our true home in heaven.

I’m the writer, storyteller, and happy-at-home mama behind Homeward Pilgrims. I’m passionate about encouraging Catholic families to deepen their faith, discover sacred places, and find grace in the rhythm of home life.
After years of living abroad — first as an au pair in Denmark and Norway for four years, then as a househelp here in Spain for eight — and visiting countless beautiful churches and shrines, I’ve come to see that every journey, even the quiet ones within our homes, is part of God’s greater pilgrimage for our souls.
👨🦱 Roger
Roger is the loving, hard-working husband (and Pappi!) who makes our lives comfortable and our trips possible. With a deep love for Catholic history and culture, he helps make our family pilgrimages both prayerful and memorable.
👦👦👧 Our Little Pilgrims
Our little pilgrims bring joy and laughter to every journey. They remind us that faith is best lived with curiosity, awe, and childlike wonder — whether we’re exploring a basilica, building Legos, or racing toy cars around the living room.
Here are a few glimpses into their sweet personalities:
Joan Pau (JP) is now 8 years old and loves cars and dinosaurs. When he was just 2½, he could already recognize most car brands just by their logos! He’s starting catechesis this year and already enjoys reading the Bible. 😍
Josep (not a typo! It’s the Catalan version of “Joseph”) is 6 years old. Like his big brother, he loves cars and dinosaurs — and he’s also our family comedian, always ready with a joke or two. 😍
Maria is the newest addition to our family — I gave birth to her in July 2025. I delivered her on a Monday, and by Sunday, we were already attending our first Mass as a family of five. Since then, Maria hasn’t missed a Sunday Mass. 💕
