How I Learned About The Unity Prayer Unexpectedly!
As I mentioned above, I recently learned about The Unity Prayer, which is just this morning (October 6, 2023 – Friday). I usually eat breakfast and tidy up the kitchen after driving the kids to school while listening to homilies by my favorite priests online – most of the time the ones by Fr. Ciano Ubod (a priest from Cebu), talks by Fr. Chris Alar, but also homesteading and homemaking videos when I am tempted to listen to the sermon of the day later on.
Today, as I was in the kitchen preparing my breakfast, I went to YT to find the homily of the day by Fr. Ubod, but a video caught my attention featuring Fr. Jimmy Blount. I got interested because it was the first time that I heard about him. I thank God that He led me to that video because it was very inspiring.
I love the way Fr. Jim shared the miracles that he experienced, so I looked for more videos of him until I stumbled into the video where he talked about the Unity Prayer that was revealed by Jesus to Elizabeth Kindelmann and how the prayer blinds satan! Woww, I was blown away by the stories and made me curious to learn more about the saintly woman whom I heard for the very first time.
Then Fr. Jim also mentioned that on his visits to other countries, he gave away copies of the Unity Prayer as gifts to bishops to give away to the laity. I wanted to get hold of a copy, but because I’m far away, I’ll just make my copy to print through Canva. And I’ll also post it here for those who want to have a copy, as my little way of participating in the distribution of the prayer.

My adorable Jesus,
May our feet journey together.
May our hands gather in unity.
May our hearts beat in unison.
May our souls be in harmony.
May our thoughts be as one.
May our ears listen to the silence together.
May our glances profoundly penetrate each other.
May our lips pray together to gain mercy from the Eternal Father.
Amen.

A Bit of History About The Unity Prayer and The Flame of Love
After hearing Fr. Jimmy Blount recite the Unity Prayer on several videos and also explained a bit about the prayer, I understood that the prayer was revealed by Jesus to Elizabeth Kindelmann, a married woman who lived in Hungary from 1913 to 1985. I also learned that this beautiful prayer is part of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, or simply The Flame of Love, a movement spreading the message contained in the Diary of Elizabeth.
